Fearing that the actions of Superman are left unchecked, Batman takes on the Man of Steel, while the world wrestles with what kind of a hero it really needs.

There’s a lot of hate for this movie but I liked it. Yes it has it’s pacing problems, yes there is some stuff in there that isn’t made totally clear, yes it concentrates more on setting up the Justice League movie but there are still a lot of positives to take from it and I’m looking forward to the Justice League movie.
Affleck is great as Batman and the Batman fight scene in the warehouse is the most Batman like thing I’ve ever seen on the big screen. Straight from the comics. Irons is good as Alfred and is a bit more hands on than Caine’s Alfred in the Nolan flicks but hasn’t got as many good lines.
Gadot is decent as Wonder Woman (whose theme tune is ace) but she doesn’t really do much. Her solo movie will fix that and fill in some of the blanks.
What did let it down for me was the contingent from Metropolis. Cavill is still as wooden as ever as Superman which is a shame because he showed what he can do in the Man From U.N.C.L.E. Eisenberg is awful as Luthor with his twitches and waving hands, as far away from the comic character as you can get and anything Superman related in the movie just seems to slow things down.
The ultimate edition is released in July with an extra 30 minutes and I think it’s going to make it a much better movie.
