Review

Interesting opening 30 that soon descends into the ‘corporation v the common man’ formula with characters thinking they are been followed just to pad out the run time and build tension as nothing really happens after the initial concussion discovery.

I’ve read the Oscar outrage about why black actors haven’t been nominated this year and on this performance Will Smith rightfully wasn’t nominated. He puts on a Nigerian accent and cries a bit. Idris Elba was outstanding in Beasts Of No Nation and should have been nominated but that’s a Netflix movie and the Academy won’t nominate Netflix for anything as it goes against the establishment. Maybe in 10 years.

Smith v the other nominees? . . .no way should he be nominated . . I’d want Steve Carrell nominated for ‘The Big Short’ before Smith and I can’t believe Matt Damon was nominated for The Martian but there you go.

Overall a run of the mill biopic that would have been better as a documentary . . . or maybe it is also a docu but I haven’t seen it
