Steve Jobs takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution, to paint a portrait of the man at its epicenter. The story unfolds backstage at three iconic product launches, ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac.
- Michael Fassbender - Steve Jobs
- Kate Winslet - Joanna Hoffman
- Seth Rogen - Steve Wozniak
- Jeff Daniels - John Sculley
- Danny Boyle
Everything about it oozes class with a razor sharp script, great direction and performances from Fassbender and Winslet. Paints a solid portrait of Jobs and is on a totally different level than Kutcher’s rubbish from a few year ago.
The format of the movie (backstage meetings before 3 keynote speeches ranging from the 80’s to the 90’s) is not something familiar to mass audiences. I guess this is why it didn’t do too well at the box office, and to be honest it’s probably more suited to the stage than the screen but it’s still entertaining.
