Review

For 80 minutes I was wondering why this movie got panned on it’s release as I was really enjoying it . . . . then the last 30 minutes happened. What an absolute mess and the crappest/easy way out ending of a movie I can remember.

If Depp starred in this movie before he played Captain Jack he would be held in the same light as Steven Seagal and JCVD now. Straight to DVD. The man hasn’t made a decent film in over a decade . . excluding Rango. He’s on a terrible run.

He obviously chose this as it was Pfisters debut and was hoping for some Nolan magic to rub off on Pfister but nope. While his contemporaries Cruise, Pitt and Clooney are making decent flicks (Edge of Tomorrow is good) Depp is getting left way, way behind.

To sum up . . . if you want to see a movie fall apart and spiral out of control into crapness then check it out. If not and value your time, stay away.
